How to Make Creamy Caramels with Sea Salt from Scratch
It’s easier than you think to make your own homemade sea salt caramels! Cook a few simple ingredients, pour into a baking pan, let cool, and cut into squares!

Recipe for Making Sea Salt Caramels
Ingredients

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Flaky sea salt
Procedure
- Line an 8” x 8” baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides. Spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- Place the butter, cream, sugar and corn syrup in a large saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Clip on a candy thermometer and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the temperature reaches 240 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla. Immediately pour into your prepared pan. Wait 10 minutes then top with the flaky salt.
- Chill for about 3 hours, till firm, then transfer to a cutting board. Use a large greased knife to cut into desired shapes. Wrap each caramel in waxed paper and store in an airtight container.
