Truffle Grilled Cheese
Black truffle carpaccio matches perfectly with this classic American comfort food staple!
The weather is cooling down and when temperatures drop most people turn to comfort food on cool winter evenings. The classic American comfort food staple like grilled cheese, bring back fond memories of growing up for many people. In our household, grilled cheese would always be paired with a can of Campbell's tomato soup. While I cannot honestly say I miss that tomato soup; I can say I still do get those sudden cravings for warm, crispy caramelized grilled cheese sandwiches.
It is with such fond memories in mind and a more playful yet refined adult palette, that we have chosen to make a black truffle grilled cheese. This recipe can easily be enjoyed by cooks of all skill levels. Do not be shy and try for yourself, we promise you will love it. The black truffle carpaccio was chosen for this recipe for the slightly more modest flavor profile than white truffles but also we really enjoy the summer truffle that has a slightly al dente bite than the more spongy white truffle. Enjoy this truffle grilled cheese with some air fried potato strings or a nice French onion soup. Both recipes coming soon in our blog!
