I'm a convert

I've been making my own vanilla extract for over a decade and used to buy my beans based on reviews at a Infamous Global seller. Was never sure what I would get. Then I found this company! The beans were beautiful! Fragrant, moist but not too moist, easy to cut open to expose the seeds and each Bean was six to seven inches long. I'm a happy extract maker! 💝💃🥳

Often described as an earthy flavor adored by mushroom hunters worldwide, finding morels can prove to be difficult for some. Morel season is short and finding high quality true morels when out of season is even harder. We are here to help so you can cook with morels any time of the year.

If you are lucky enough to find fresh morels mushroom simply rinse with cold water, pat dry and they are to be cooked. Sauté with a little garlic, shallots, white wine and finish with butter. Yum!

To use morels when dried, simply rehydrated and repeat steps as described. Not sure how to rehydrate your mushrooms? Read this article for help

Shop morel mushrooms that are forged and wild harvested

What makes our dried morel mushrooms so spectacular?

Uses for morel mushrooms:

Though not absolutely impossible, it is quite rare for Morchella to be grown commercially. Cultivated morels are most found in China. Typically wild morels are harvested in the springtime when they pop up along forest floors, dying trees, river banks, and occasionally disturbed flower beds. They are especially abundant in forested areas that have been recently burned by forest fires.

Though they are only found during spring and early summer months, they can be dried to preserve flavor and enjoyed year-round. While many mushrooms do not hold their natural consistency, when rehydrated, dried morel mushrooms that have been stored properly stay relatively true to form.

You can buy wild mushrooms online to enjoy throughout the year in broths, and braises. They are also decadent when sautéed, fried, stuffed, or baked.

Try this Vanilla Scented Morel Mushroom Mole, for a unique recipe that will impress a crowd.

It takes roughly seven pounds of fresh morels to make one pound of dried mushrooms so use appropriately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Morel mushrooms are expensive because they aren’t farmed like most mushrooms you buy in a grocery store. They are farmed on a very large scale in China and gathered in the wild by a person who is well equipped to pick them. Morel mushrooms also have a very short season as they are grown in the spring and early summer. Once picked, they don’t last long. It’s important to know the difference between a real vs. false picked morel mushroom as true morel mushrooms can be easily misrepresented. If you cut a morel mushroom in half, a true morel mushroom will be hollow. A true morel mushroom also has a pitted or honeycomb type cap.
Research shows that morel mushrooms have various health benefits and are good for you. They are a wonderful source of Vitamin D and help contribute to a healthy heart because they contain a high source of potassium, vitamins and copper.
To clean morel mushrooms, start by putting the mushrooms in a paper bag or colander. Then, shake the bag vigorously to get off as much dirt as possible. Be careful not to break apart or bruise the mushrooms while doing this. Next, place the mushrooms in a bowl of cold water and swish the morels around until you don’t see any more dirt coming off. Finally, place the wet mushrooms on a layer of paper towels and quickly pat the mushrooms dry until the water in the holes drain out.
Morel mushrooms are hard to grow because they don’t grow indoors like other mushrooms, giving you less control over the conditions. Morel mushrooms need sunlight, loamy soil and consistent moisture and cool temperatures. Spring is the typical growing season for morels, as it is mild and wet.
Morel mushrooms grow in the spring and early summer. The ideal growing condition for morel mushrooms is an environment where the ground temperature is in the low to mid 50s. That’s why they grow best in rainy climates with daytime temperatures in the 60s and nighttime temperatures in the 40s.
Mushrooms are grown in the forest or in the ground around oak, elm, ash and aspen trees. Morel Mushrooms are mostly found in China but can also be found in North America, Turkey, the Himalayas, India, and Pakistan.
